What if my service is slow?

If your service is running slower than usual, check http://myaccounts.tasmanet.com.au to ensure you have not exceeded your download usage. If you have exceeded your download usage for the month additional data blocks can be purchased, information regarding data blocks can be found in the support section of the website under the heading Data Blocks. Once you have decided how much additional data you require to see you through the month simply email sales@staff.tasmanet.com.au or call TasmaNet on 1300 792 711.

I can't connect to the Internet or email

Check that all the cables are plugged in properly and that the power supplies to all the equipment are plugged in and turned on. Phone our support team on 1300 792 711.

What if I can browse the Internet, but I cannot access email?

Check that your email is properly configured with the settings below under the heading Mail Settings. To check this, in your email account open toolsaccount settingschangeserver information.

If you are getting a message of invalid username and/or password contact support, support@staff.tasmanet.com.au or call on 1300 792 711 to have your credentials renewed.

What if I can collect email but are unable to browse the web?

Local firewall software products can cause this type of issue, please check any firewall products you may have loaded.

I cannot access some gaming and/or other sites or need to have particular ports opened on my service.

Tasmanet services can be supplied directly to your computer; if your computer plugs directly into a wall socket then this is most likely the case. In this type of configuration only common types of traffic are allowed to pass to your computer.

Tasmanet recommend users purchase a router from us to protect your home network, advanced features are also available through the router to enable ports to be opened up relating to gaming and other activities.
