About the Huon Valley Project
The Huon Valley Regional Wireless Network is a partnership between internet service provider TasmaNet and the Huon Valley Council, the aim of the initiative is to ensure that residents and businesses in the Huon Valley have to access high speed broadband services comparable to those in the CBD that are currently limited in certain areas due to their remote location.
Joel Harris, Business Development Manager for Tasmanet said he is thrilled that the project is going ahead, stating ‘The collaboration between Tasmanet and the Huon Valley Council comes from the desire of both parties to provide residents and businesses with access to the high quality level of internet services made possible through Tasmanet’s network”.
“With almost all businesses and residents now requiring some level of internet access the launch of the Huon Valley Regional Wireless Network will ensure that the Huon Valley has access to the same quality of services available to those in the Hobart CBD and metropolitan areas” said Mr. Harris.
